22-jump-street-poster1-405x600On my way to see this movie I kept saying to myself, “I hope they don’t ruin it!”. I feared that we might have seen all the funniest bits in the first movie; fortunately, I was wrong. The first “Jump Street” only offers a glimpse of what both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have to offer in this rowdy, raunchy buddy-cop sequel. They make a terrific team. In their first mission, Hill and Tatum had to go undercover to bust a drug ring in a local high school. In this movie, their Captain (an amusing Ice Cube) thinks they’re too old to pass for high schoolers. So he sends them to…wait for it…college! Don’t let the familiar plot bring you down. The one joke premise holds up (again), thanks to a genuinely funny screenplay (by Michael Bacall and Oren Uziel) and the work of its two stars. “22…
